Client Challenge

The Sotheby’s International Realty brand is a full service international real estate company focusing on the sale of luxury homes and properties. The company approached Clearbridge Mobile, to design and build an AppleTV application. With the creation of this application Sotheby’s International Realty was looking to overcome several challenges that included:

  • Gain competitive position in the Connected TV space
  • Give users more selection on a more interactive platform (Apple TV)
  • Provide shared user experience for browsing properties
  • Deliver a best-in-class visual experience

Our Solution

Sotheby’s International Realty and Clearbridge partnered to deliver Sotheby’s first-ever AppleTV application. We delivered on the basis of a very strong user experience and designed and built the tablet application to ensure a proper visual layout. 

  • Native tvOS application for browsing properties and contacting agents
  • Custom navigation, view controllers, animations, and submission form
  • “Guess the Location” in-app micro game
  • Tightly integrated with Google Places for fast search results

The Results

Sotheby’s International Realty’s AppleTV app provides users with an intuitive and personalized experience that became the strong foundation for the company to build its mobile business line.
